In a matchup that could come down to just a few points, having a dependable kicker like Calamita could make a HUGE difference.
Dymir Lewis | Senior | DE/RB
Senior DE/RB Dymir Lewis is an extremely disruptive presence along the Ridley defensive front. Lewis consistently applies pressure on opposing quarterbacks and makes his presence felt with tackles for loss. He's a physical, aggressive defender who plays tough football every snap he's on the field. Lewis can also contribute offensively at running back, where his physical running style gives Ridley another weapon in the ground game.
Gene D’Amico | Senior | WR/OLB
Senior WR/OLB Gene D'Amico is a two-way STAR for the Raiders. The kid is FAST! D'Amico possesses an outstanding burst of speed and runs with tremendous intensity whenever he gets the football. His combination of quickness, physicality, and explosiveness gives Ridley another dangerous option in the backfield.
RIDLEY’S KEY TO VICTORY: LIMIT THE BIG PLAYS DEFENSIVELY
The Garnet Valley offense is one of the most explosive units in District 1.
The Jaguars have tremendous playmakers throughout their offensive lineup and consistently find ways to generate big plays.
For Ridley, the biggest priority needs to be limiting those explosive opportunities.
The Raiders cannot afford to allow Garnet Valley's dangerous offensive weapons to consistently break free for long gains.
Disciplined coverage, strong open-field tackling, and consistent pressure on quarterback Coltan Turner will be extremely important.
Ridley has more than enough offensive talent to put points on the board, but the Raiders must prevent Garnet Valley from turning this matchup into a high-scoring shootout.
If Ridley can limit the explosive plays and force Garnet Valley to sustain long, methodical drives, the Raiders will put themselves in an excellent position to win this football game.
GARNET VALLEY JAGUARS (8–1)
The Jaguars enter this matchup following a dominant 49–14 victory over Penncrest last week.
Garnet Valley will look to carry that momentum into its regular-season finale against a talented Ridley team.
The Jaguars feature an explosive offensive attack, a physical offensive line, and several outstanding two-way playmakers.
This is a team capable of putting points on the scoreboard in a hurry.
PLAYERS TO WATCH — GARNET VALLEY

Senior RB/MLB Luke Bernard is an old-school, tough, PHYSICAL football player. Bernard runs the football extremely hard and is incredibly difficult to bring down. He consistently gains additional yards after contact and possesses the ability to break off a big run at any moment. Defensively, Bernard brings that same toughness and intensity to the linebacker position. His physicality immediately stands out, and he's capable of delivering some BIGTIME hits. Bernard is a tremendous two-way player who will be extremely important in this matchup.
Coltan Turner | Senior | QB
Running the show offensively for Garnet Valley is senior quarterback Coltan Turner. Turner is the definition of a DUAL-THREAT quarterback. He possesses an excellent arm, throws accurately while on the move, and can deliver a beautiful deep ball. However, what makes Turner especially dangerous is his ability to run the football. He's a physical runner who is difficult to bring down and can turn a broken play into a significant gain. His toughness, athleticism, and big-play ability make him one of the most dangerous offensive weapons on the field. Ridley will need to account for Turner on EVERY snap.
Nick DiLuzio | Senior | WR/FS
Senior WR/FS Nick DiLuzio is an outstanding two-way playmaker for the Jaguars. Offensively, DiLuzio possesses great hands and is an extremely reliable receiving option. Defensively, he displays strong coverage ability and consistently steps up to make important tackles. DiLuzio can also be dangerous in the return game when given the opportunity. His versatility makes him a valuable contributor in all three phases of the game.
Nick D’Antonio | Senior | WR/FS
Senior WR/FS Nick D'Antonio is FAST. The kid can absolutely FLY! D'Antonio is an extremely dangerous return specialist who can turn an opportunity into a big play in a hurry. He's also an explosive offensive weapon who poses a threat whenever the football gets into his hands. Defensively, D'Antonio contributes in the secondary and displays solid coverage ability. His speed and versatility make him another player Ridley will need to keep a close eye on.
Hadrian Krauss | Senior | RB
Senior running back Hadrian Krauss is a big, physical offensive weapon for Garnet Valley. Krauss runs the football with tremendous toughness and is excellent at fighting through contact to gain additional yardage. He's also capable of making plays as a receiver out of the backfield. He's especially dangerous after the catch, where his quickness and ability to change direction allow him to turn short completions into significant gains. Orr appears to be one of quarterback Coltan Turner's favorite targets, and for good reason. His ability to consistently create separation makes him a serious threat to the Ridley secondary.
Nick Potts | Senior | C/DT
Senior C/DT Nick Potts is a physical, aggressive presence along the Garnet Valley offensive line. Potts consistently finishes his blocks and plays with tremendous toughness. At center, he's a crucial part of the Jaguars' offensive line, helping anchor a unit that is the key to Garnet Valley's explosive offensive attack. His physicality and consistency will be essential against a talented Ridley defensive front.
GARNET VALLEY’S KEY TO VICTORY: ESTABLISH THE RUNNING GAME
For Garnet Valley, the biggest key to winning this football game will be establishing a consistent ground attack against Ridley's stout defense.
The Jaguars have several dangerous rushing weapons, including Luke Bernard, Hadrian Krauss, and dual-threat quarterback Coltan Turner.
However, moving the football consistently against this physical Ridley defensive front will be no easy task.
If Garnet Valley can control the line of scrimmage and establish an effective running game early, it will open up tremendous opportunities through the air.
A successful ground attack would force Ridley's defense to respect the run, creating more favorable matchups for explosive receivers such as Brody Orr, Nick DiLuzio, and Nick D'Antonio.
It would also allow Turner to take advantage of his dual-threat ability, keeping the Raiders guessing throughout the game.
If Garnet Valley can consistently move the football on the ground, control the tempo, and create opportunities for its dangerous passing attack, the Jaguars will be extremely difficult to stop.
PA EAST FINAL OUTLOOK
This one has all the makings of an ABSOLUTE BATTLE.
Two 8–1 football teams. Two extremely talented rosters. Two physical defenses. And two offenses loaded with playmakers.
What more could you ask for in the final week of the regular season?
Ridley enters this matchup with tremendous defensive talent and outstanding depth at the running back position.
The Raiders have several physical, aggressive defenders who can make life difficult for opposing offenses, and their ability to limit explosive plays will be a major factor in this game.
Offensively, Joey Carroll's ability to stretch the field, combined with Ridley's deep group of running backs, gives the Raiders several ways to move the football.
On the other side, Garnet Valley possesses an explosive offensive attack led by dual-threat quarterback Coltan Turner.
With physical running backs, dangerous receivers, and a powerful offensive line, the Jaguars have the ability to put up points in a hurry.
However, they will be facing one of the tougher defensive units on their schedule.
For Ridley, this game comes down to limiting Garnet Valley's explosive plays and making the Jaguars earn every yard.
For Garnet Valley, establishing the running game and controlling the line of scrimmage will be absolutely crucial.
One matchup that could ultimately determine the outcome is Garnet Valley's offensive line against Ridley's defensive front.
If the Jaguars can create running lanes and give Turner time to operate, their offense could be extremely difficult to contain.
However, if Ridley consistently wins the battle up front, applies pressure on Turner, and forces Garnet Valley into difficult third-down situations, the Raiders could take control of this football game.
Special teams could also play a HUGE role.
With two evenly matched teams, field position, turnovers, and even a single field goal could end up making the difference.
Expect a PHYSICAL, hard-fought matchup from start to finish, with both teams leaving everything on the field.
With playoff seeding implications and regular-season momentum on the line, neither team will want to enter the postseason coming off a loss.
This is the type of matchup that could come down to one possession, one defensive stop, or one BIGTIME play in the fourth quarter.
It's going to be a GOOD ONE in Glen Mills on Friday night!
